Help with choosing, sizing, and buying your jewellery
Q How do I know what size my necklace should be?
A For a good guide to sizing yourself, we recommend the following steps:
- Have a tape measure at the ready, and lean your head forward slightly while sitting or standing up straight.
- With your hand, find the knobbly bit at the top of your spine. That’s where your measurement should start from.
- Bring your tape measure around your neck, and down to the lowest place on your chest you would like your necklace to reach.
- Take the measurement, and double that number. This usually provides an accurate measurement for your necklace, far better than attempting to loop your tape measure around your head.
Q I’m buying this jewellery as a gift, I think using the above method will arouse suspicion, what can I do?
A If you can grab a necklace and measure that, then fantastic! Otherwise, rest assured, we will happily resize your jewellery free of charge within 28 days of purchase where the design allows. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll be able to help you. Please note we cannot cover postage costs if resizing is required.
Q What if the gift really isn’t appreciated at all?
A We’re confident that your great taste in jewellery will be very well received! But, if for any reason your generosity is spurned, or you change your mind on any purchase, we are happy to offer a 28 day money back guarantee. Items must be returned in their original packaging, with proof of purchase. Postage costs are not refunded.
Q I really like your style, but I can’t find something “just right” on your website. Will you make a one-off piece for me?
A Of course! Sarah-Jane is happy to produce one off items of jewellery for any occasion and in a wide variety of styles. These can be made to match a particular outfit, your favourite colours, or favourite glass or stones.
Sarah-Jane can work from a sketch you’ve dreamed up, or from a conversation on the phone, so please get in touch and Sarah-Jane will do her best to make your dream jewellery a reality.
Q I like what I see, but can I get a chance to be up close and personal with your jewellery before I buy?
A You can indeed. You may visit Sarah-Jane by appointment (please get in touch to arrange a visit), find a limited number of one off pieces in Doyles in Market Harborough, or catch us at a show, see the news section for updates on where we’ll be.

Q How do I buy your jewellery?
A Visit our jewellery section, and you may browse all our jewellery. If an item is in stock, you will find a large “Purchase” button beneath the product description. Clicking that button will place the item in your shopping cart, and take you to that page. You may then “Buy Now” via PayPal.
Q What if I’d like to buy more than one item?
A Absolutely no problem, simply continue browsing our range, then click “Purchase” again, this will add any further pieces of jewellery you wish to purchase to your shopping cart.
Q What is PayPal? Is it safe?
A PayPal is the leading, international online payment system. You can use your credit or debit card to securely purchase items using PayPal, not only from us, but from many sites Worldwide. PayPal is trusted, and all transactions are completely secure.
Q I don’t like buying online, is there an alternative?
A There are a few alternatives. You may call us to complete your transaction ove the phone using a credit or debit card, visit Sarah-Jane in person (by appointment only), or arrange your very own Funky Beads Party, where you can try a range of our Jewellery and even earn yourself some commission too!
Q What is your guarantee?
A There is a 28 day money back guarantee on unused, unwanted purchases in their original conditional, we will not cover postage. Restringing is guaranteed, however we cannot guarantee our beads against accidental damage.
